Pope John Paul II said in Gaudium et Spes, man “cannot fully find himself except through a sincere gift of self.”
Even though the ways we can be a gift of self are limited, now is the time to get creative about charity. Ask your neighbors what supplies they need and provide for them. Also, don’t be ashamed to admit when you need something. Don’t be afraid to ask.
There may be fear about this virus, but this may open up the door to talk about the Faith. This is an ideal time to bring up the afterlife and have hope in God’s providential love.
