Conversing with God in Scripture: A Contemporary Approach to Lectio Divina by Stephen J. Binz (2008)
• This practical and inspirational book shows how we can read and reflect on Scripture in ways that enable us to hear God speaking to us in our thoughts and hearts.

St. Joseph’s Covenant Keepers (SJCK)
• This is the website for an informal international network of Christian men, under the patronage of St. Joseph, dedicated to strengthening the family. The primary thrust is to men who are fathers of children still living at home.

• Non-profit research and educational institute that promotes life-transforming Scripture study in the Catholic tradition.
The Scripture Source Book for Catholics by Rev. Peter Klein (2008)
• This is an ideal book for parish leaders of faith sharing and bible study groups to respond to the questions with a Catholic understanding of the scriptures.
Signposts: How to be a Catholic Man in the World Today by Bill Bawden and Tim Sullivan (1999)
• The “fifty-two discussion plans … offer men the opportunity to grow in their love for God, the Church, and their families, and to joyfully embrace the call to live an authentic Christian life.”
Too Deep for Words: Rediscovering Lectio Divina by Hall, Thelma (1988)
• The book has two parts. The first sets forth the principles. The second part offers 500 scriptures with which to practice lectio. The approach is ideal for beginners.
What Are They Saying about Masculine Spirituality? by David C. James with an introduction from Richard Rohr (l996)
• James draws on the wisdom of other writers to develop a well-rounded understanding of masculinity and then moves into an integrative approach in a communal setting.
The Wild Man’s Journey: Reflections on Male Spirituality by Richard Rohr and Joseph Martos (1992)
• The authors present “a gospel-rooted spiritual vision that integrates the call to Jesus to new life with a mature masculine religious identity.”
The Word Among Us
• This is a monthly devotional with reflections on the scriptures from daily and Sunday Mass. Additionally it offers articles, book reviews and personal witnesses. A Spanish edition is available.
