2012 Speaker Biography: Darrell Miller
Darrell Miller is the Director of Major League Baseball’s Urban Youth Academy. Darrell had a five-year career as a player with the California Angels. He has also served as an executive in community relations and a professional scout for the Angels organization. Darrell also played for the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees.
Darryl is a member of one of the most celebrated and successful sports families in history. Brother Reggie was one of the greatest basketball players of all time and sister Cheryl was one the best female basketball players of all-time.
As a convert to the faith, Darryl is especially mindful of the depth and truth of the Catholic faith. He is a dynamic evangelical speaker who loves to share his testimony and faith far and wide. Darryl is a board member of Catholic Athletes for Christ and was a participant in the Vatican’s first ever conference on Sports in 2005.
